Partnership with ELT Songs Plc to develop and sell interactive educational content for UN program of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) educational programs

ˮƵ, Canada, June 08, 2023 – ˮƵ. (“ELL” or the “Company”)  (TSX-V: ELL; OTC: LMDCF; FSE: LIMA),, an edtech language learning edutainment and content development company, is pleased to announce a strategic partnership to become the technology platform provider and worldwide exclusive distributor (excluding the B2C category) for multi-award-winning education company, ELT Songs Plc (“ELT Songs”). Under the agreement and with ELT Songs’ vision, the Company will develop engaging, interactive videos and content that is aligned with the UN-adopted Sustainable Development Goals (“SDG”) initiative, a collection of 17 global goals to improve the planet and the quality of human life around the world by 2030.

This new, innovative partnership leverages the respective strengths of Everybody Loves Languages state-of-the-art e-learning platform technology and ELT Songs learning content to create a compelling educational program combined with distribution, adding value for both companies. Under the terms of the agreement, Everybody Loves Languages will advance US$150,000 against future royalties, incorporate a new company (“NewCo”) for the distribution of ELL-ELT Songs partnership business, and issue 15% of the common shares of NewCo to ELT Songs. The companies also agreed to sell and distribute worldwide on the ELL technology platform, Planet Pop, a successful primary school interactive video program developed by ELT Songs.

“The ELL-ELT Songs partnership is a powerful combination. ELT Songs is one of the most creative and dynamic developers of learning materials and videos in existence, and bringing together ELL’s technology platform and distribution relationships establishes a combined competitive advantage to promote SDG, one of the hottest topics in the world today,” said Gali Bar-Ziv, CEO of Everybody Loves Languages. “Additionally, integrating Planet Pop with ELL’s technology platform will add another key portfolio product to our myriad of offerings, thus creating a win-win-win proposition.”

“Our partnership with ELL brings forth a new era where blockbuster content and advanced technology converge to redefine how we educate and inspire,” said Jake Carter, founder and CEO of ELT Songs and Planet Pop. “Our core focus is on children and how we can make learning a hundred times more engaging than ever. Through this transformative approach, we witness the sheer delight of children immersed in their educational journey, fueling their curiosity about pressing global concerns and accelerating their progress in making an impact now. We are about inspiring young minds and opening doors to boundless possibilities.”

The new bespoke learning program, Sustainable Development Goals Explorers, teaches global issues through fun “learn and play” methodologies. The super engaging lessons transform learning into fun videos, songs, quizzes, and games for teaching the younger generation how to be better citizens of the world by featuring multiple areas for action, such as poverty and sanitation, while addressing people’s social needs.

The Sustainable Development Goals was adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a call to action for people worldwide to address five critical areas of importance: people; planet; prosperity; peace; and partnership. At the heart of SDG are the 17 goals, which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

According to one study encompassing 22 countries, 49% of all parents said they are concerned that their children’s curriculums are outdated and that fast-paced media consumption is leading to lack of engagement in the classroom. An absence of education leads to additional depletion of resources and degradation of the planet.

The ability to speak more than one language is a valuable skill that can offer a range of cognitive and economic benefits. Surprisingly, only nine percent of adults in the U.S. are fluent in a second language, compared to 50 percent in Europe. This discrepancy is partly attributed to the fact that many American children are not exposed to a second language until high school, and foreign language instruction is not always mandatory.

Research has shown that children are more likely to learn a second language effectively if they learn it at a young age. However, only 25 percent of elementary schools in the U.S. offer some form of foreign language instruction. In the past, there was a belief that teaching a child a foreign language too young could lead to verbal mistakes and delays due to interference between the two languages. Recent studies have found that being raised bilingual may facilitate the development of certain language and cognitive skills, such as mental flexibility, abstract thinking, and working memory.

Until the mid-1800s, bilingualism was common in the U.S. But in the 1880s, popular sentiment turned against immigrants, and it was thought that exposure to more than one language made children intellectually inferior. Although researchers discredited these early studies in the 1960s, the idea that children needed to choose a dominant language persisted. The hypothesis was that the brain is preset for only one language.

Reality dictates that children exposed to two languages before the age of 10 reach key language milestones at the same time as their monolingual peers and show no signs of language contamination or confusion. Studies also suggest the cognitive benefits of being exposed to a second language start as early as infancy. Bilingual infants more easily adapt to changing rules than monolingual infants.

In addition to the cognitive benefits, bilingualism has also been shown to pay off economically. Bilingual individuals earn, on average, five to 20 percent higher salaries than their monolingual counterparts.

So what does today’s research say about the potential benefits of bilingual education?

  1. Bilingualism makes learning languages easier: If you can speak two languages already, chances are it will be much easier to learn a third or fourth language.
  2. Bilingualism makes one better at multitasking: Bilinguals are in a constant state of linguistic multitasking. They must switch, shift, and process different languages in real-time, and this skill naturally crosses over to non-linguistic multitasking.
  3. Bilingualism makes one more empathetic: Research shows that bilinguals are better at showing empathy, which fosters human kindness and the ability to relate to others and see things from others’ perspectives.
  4. Bilingualism can make one richer: According to an article in The Economist, speaking more than one language makes it likelier that you will get paid more over the course of your life.
  5. Bilingualism might slow the effects of Alzheimer’s: According to a huge meta-analysis of all the various studies on the topic, learning and speaking multiple languages could reduce the chances of getting dementia. Second, if you were to get dementia, it slows its onset and lessens the symptoms. This is not to say bilingualism stops people from getting dementia, but it is a significant factor in reducing the chances of suffering its effects.
  6. Bilingualism can make you more attractive: Speaking another language is exotic, mysterious, and intelligent. In one study, a team put heart monitors on participants and measured which languages got the heart racing fastest. Unsurprisingly, the winner was Italian, Portuguese and French, coming in a close third.

Bilingualism comes with many rewards and speaking a second language can give you an edge in modern society. Everybody Loves Languages provides learning institutions and corporations internationally with language programs and solutions that provide the most innovative, tech-enabled language teaching methodologies.

And the company continues to innovate. It recently partnered with to teach languages through AcadeMe+, the film-based interactive lesson platform that offers lessons from more than 1,000 of Hollywood’s most loved and carefully curated films. EFS+ is the company’s first commercial program to integrate AcadeMe’s lessons as an extension of its popular English for Success language program. EFS+ offers institutions a scaled solution to manage classes that vary in size and objectives. AcadeMe is proving to be a game-changer for the edtech industry and Everybody Loves Languages plans to roll out additional programs integrated with AcadeMe’s Hollywood film-based lessons in the coming months.

ˮƵ, Canada, February 1, 2023 – ˮƵ. (“ELL”) (TSX-V: ELL; OTC: LMDCF; FSE: LIMA),, an edtech language learning edutainment and content development company, is pleased to announce the launch of its first Hollywood film-based AcadeMe language learning program called English For Success+ (“EFS+”).

ELL fast-tracked the delivery of its market-defining AcadeMe program in record time in response to the overwhelmingly positive feedback it has received for the product as institutions seek faster and more engaging ways to teach a second language. AcadeMe turns Hollywood films into powerful academic tools, immersing students into movie scenes where iconic figures and events come to life, providing students with more exciting and fun ways to learn another language.

The user experience is similar to watching Netflix, but with students practicing tasks while enjoying the movie. For example, students can virtually converse with the movie character Spiderman mid-scene while improving and perfecting their language skills. To reward students for finishing a specific task, the teacher can unlock the entire movie for the learner’s enjoyment.

EFS+ is the company’s first commercial product to integrate the exclusive AcadeMe lessons as an extension of its popular English for Success (“EFS”) language program. EFS+ is a comprehensive online language learning solution that includes a massive library of lessons and resources of more than 2,000 hours of learning, incorporating state-of-the-art technologies, movie-based lessons for enhanced engagement, a vast library of content, and advanced data analytics. EFS+ offers institutions a scaled solution to manage classes and programs that vary in size, program length, and objectives.

Learning a second language can be challenging for many people. Still, with the right strategies and approaches, it can also be one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences you can achieve. As we embark on a new year, here are the top language learning trends for 2023 and tips on how to improve learning and speaking a second language.

Blended Learning is one of the most popular trends in language learning that has carried over from last year. It combines traditional teaching methods with technological advancements. This approach allows students to learn at their own pace and in a way that is most suitable for them.

Another trend is Learning Strategies, which focus on improving students’ thinking and communication skills. This approach involves student-teacher interaction and the use of targeted content and activities to help students improve their language skills. Everybody Loves Languages excels in this area and has built one of the world’s largest digital libraries of individual language learning lessons. Depending on a student’s ability, an instructor can use these individual lessons to focus on what is needed to advance one’s language skills instead of plowing through a whole language learning course. It’s like iTunes for language learning, where a user can choose individual songs, or in this case, language lessons, instead of having to listen to or purchase the whole album.

Mobile Learning is another trend that is gaining popularity. With the widespread use of smartphones and other mobile devices, there are now numerous mobile apps and resources available to help students learn a second language. These apps offer a variety of learning materials, including lesson plans, flashcards, and audio lessons, making it easier for students to learn on the go.

Mastering a Language for a Specific Purpose is another trend gaining traction. This approach caters to each student’s individualized needs and considers cultural differences and specific language needs. For example, healthcare and social service workers may need to learn English to communicate better with their patients.

To get the most out of your language learning journey, it’s important to lay a strong foundation in the basics of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Immersing oneself in the language by participating in activities and real-life practice and not being afraid to make mistakes are all part of the learning process.

Resources such as podcasts, movies, and books can also help improve listening and comprehension skills. Video-based learning is becoming more popular due to the convenience and effectiveness of the medium. Videos are an engaging and interactive way for students to learn and can be accessed anytime and anywhere.

Collaborative Learning allows students to learn and work together in a virtual environment. This trend is becoming increasingly important as more people turn to e-learning to improve their skills and stay competitive in today’s global economy. Practicing speaking with native speakers or through language exchange programs can also be beneficial. Joining a language learning group or taking classes can help keep you motivated and accountable.

Technology is a helpful tool for learning a foreign language. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are being used to personalize the learning experience for students. These technologies use advanced algorithms and machine learning techniques to adapt to a student’s learning style and pace, providing customized content and feedback to help them progress more efficiently. Incorporating cultural elements into your learning can also be beneficial, enabling you to understand the language and its uses in different contexts.

Setting specific and achievable goals can help students track their progress and stay motivated. It’s also important to take breaks and mix up learning methods to avoid burnout. Finally, don’t give up – the benefits of learning a new language are numerous and well worth the effort.

Mastering a language is one of the most challenging learning experiences a student can pursue. Learning a new language for adults is more difficult than for children because a child’s brain is more flexible and possesses the rapid neural formation necessary to learn an additional language.

According to an MIT study, children remain skilled at learning grammar up to the age of 18. The study also found that it is nearly impossible for an individual to achieve proficiency similar to that of a native speaker unless they start learning a language by age 10.

Why is it so difficult to learn a foreign language? The answer, it challenges both your mind (your brain must construct new cognitive frameworks) and the time it takes to master a new language (it requires sustained, consistent practice).

Hollywood to the Rescue

As it turns out, watching movies is a great way to learn a new language. The emotions we feel when a film engages us to make us return for more. A huge obstacle in acquiring and learning a second language is engagement, structure, and interactivity. has developed a learning solution that tackles those obstacles and focuses on making learning fun.

Thanks to a strategic partnership between Everybody Loves Languages and Row 9-Digital, the company has introduced a game-changing language learning platform that uses Hollywood film clips from the world’s most popular movies like Spiderman, Soul, Lightyear, Encanto, and West Side Story, to teach a second language.

The new partnership combines Everybody Loves Languages’ and content with and an innovative AI-enabled film search engine to provide teachers with educational and student-engaging content.

How it Works

Everybody knows going to the movies is a great way to escape life’s everyday challenges. The movies of Depression-era Hollywood proved to be a therapeutic diversion for millions of Americans who needed to get away from their troubles brought on by the crash of 1929.

Today, movies aren’t just for entertainment or vegging out. Everybody Loves Languages AcadeMe+ has tapped into the magic of watching a great Hollywood film by completely immersing a student looking to learn a new language by serving up eye-popping that take language learning to a whole new level of engagement.

Those who have always struggled to learn a new language find AcadeMe+ programs the best way to practice their skills by actually conversing with the movie’s characters on the TV or computer screen. They are transported to another place and time, like the world of Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story, where they can practice their grammar and sentence structures while following along with an entertaining storyline that makes the visual connections to the text on the screen. It’s like interacting with your favorite Netflix movie, where you are in control of the scene, learning from a more natural form of the language with authentic vocabulary and connecting words with associated body language, so what you learn actually sticks.

From a technical perspective, the program’s innovative tools incorporated within the movie player utilize a speech recognition algorithm built into the scene to focus on speaking skills. This allows students to practice speaking while fully submerged in the scene. The learner can “virtually” talk to Spiderman while improving and perfecting their skills. To reward the student for finishing their task, the platform unlocks the whole movie for them to watch after the lesson.

To participate in the platform’s comprehension-based module, users are presented with a 60-120 second clip from a Hollywood movie (there are more than 1,000 Hollywood movies to choose from). This clip can be replayed several times, and the student will be prompted with the question: What three things do you see/hear? After 30 seconds, the video will pause, and users will be prompted to select the three things they saw and heard from a list of predetermined words.

Several other modules allow students to actively engage in the scenes to learn grammar and pronunciation. Supplementing the pronunciation and comprehension modules, Everybody Loves Languages plans to integrate its Learning with Moviesplatform, which offers English language-based reading and listening games. These games will involve watching a movie trailer for up to 60 seconds with the prompt “watch, read, and answer the question.” By transforming Hollywood films into practical and engaging educational tools, teachers can stimulate students’ critical thinking skills, which studies have shown to improve academic achievements. Everybody Loves Languages is excited to provide the education market with this innovative online language learning platform to help even more students gain the language skills they need to improve their lives.
